That is planned for ersky9x, just need time to implement the SD card and write the code! I believe open9x, for the Gruvin board, may have this, or may soon have it.

Maybe we for some reason can't have SD card support on the stock board.. Still, you don't save money with ersky.. and it's getting more and more expensive as I read in the threads of the forum .. It certainly is more powerful and will do whatever we need and don't need.. I would get it myself if I could even if they didn't add support to pull beer out of it while flying yet

Now what would be nice is 'usb pass through'

A special mode that lets you leave the CF flash in the TX; and access it via the programing port :-)
Slope Soaring, FPV, and pretty much anything 'high tech'
...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

So who's going to write the USB on-the-go driver? I'm not sure if the USB port will work that way.

That wouldn't be OTG. That would "simply" mean exposing a mass storage device as one of the USB endpoints, then you get a flash drive appearing on the PC :)

OTG would be if you wanted to plug a thumb drive on the 9x to read it, i.e the 9x acting as host instead of device.

Yes I know, I had been think about doing OTG some time ago, either way, we would need a USB driver for the code, the programmer port is driven by the boot ROM.

Yes the sd card can be used to store model memory, sound files, whatever you need.
With the proper coding in place it is possible to do a lot of things with ersky board.
It is still the least expensive, most powerful optional upgrade available (or soon to be after beta)

went to have a look at the ersky board but its not available and it's costing more than I paid for my turnigy 9X radio so I will stick to the old version 2 board and V1 In the Imax radio just wondered If you could use the sd card to store more model memory as I have 2 radios for all the models I have

It's not possible to hook an SD card to the stock board.

The SD card stuff discussed here is only for the replacement boards (gruvin and ersky9x).
