Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
Included in this EEPE are examples of:
Traditional programs
- Flaperons / Spoilerons
- Aileron-flaps, and “full-length ailerons”
- Elevons
- Differential Thrust
- Vectored Thrust (ruddered and rudderless)
Automation
- Automatic Landing Gear and Canopy
- Sequenced Landing Gear / Bay Doors
- Automatic Canopy
- Vertical Takeoff / Landing EDF Jet
- Random Movement Searchlight
I could fly so much better if a second flight wasn't a requirement....

Very nice! Thanks for sharing, I'm going to use a few of those on a couple planes. Great stuff!
Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
Thanks so much for sharing. I've been trying to work out how to do flaperons and you've solved it for me!
If I want differential in the ailerons once the flaps are deployed, so that the aileron will not raise fully (say limit travel to +30% of movement) - how would I add that to the "S-Flaperons"?

Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
Simple at would probably be to add a curve

Slope Soaring, FPV, and pretty much anything 'high tech'
...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
If I understand your intent, it doesn't sound like a curve is necessary...just add 30% weight to the mix, which "scales" the mix to only 30% action. If I'm not understanding, tell me desired modes and values, and I'll make up the program to do it... Gyro

Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
I'd like to have normal flight mode, with +/- 100% aileron and no flap.
Then when I flick the aileron switch, I want -30% aileron deflection on both sides (down) and then the ability to still use the aileron, but not go passed the +20% deflection (up.) Like diferential, with flaps!
Thanks again for your help!

A good thread for flaperons

If it has wings it will fly...
Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
just out of curiosity. why you want to limit the ail to +20% with flaps down? I just like to know what is the intent on that part.
Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
I'm just getting in to high performance (electric) gliders and pylon racers, plus this is my first fully programmable radio - so I'm learning as I go.
I have a buddy at the flying field who has a pyro and an enigma. On both planes, when he lands, he has a small flap deflection and then can still use ailerons (flaperons) but he limits the upward movement of the aileron.
So I am just blindly copying him, but using it as an opportunity to learn how to program my 9XR

Re: Gyro Gearloose's mega-pack of model templates...
that is interesting, I am sure he has a reason behind that. I just can't understand why. May be it is to limit the ail movement so there won't be any abrupt ail movement by mistake/accident. Pylon is fast, actually that is one of the plane on my 'wish list'. I have seen pylon video, slight movement can be dramatic. but that can be achieved by expo or DR too. He must have his own reason.

What you are actually wanting is variable differential on then ailerons.
Essentially, the more flap or crow applied, the less differential is applied.
This is quite common on competition gliders.
Now... There is an option to solve this.
It is called GVARs
Used in conjunction with an custom function, this is easy to achieve.

Differential on ailerons, controlled by a GVAR is available on er9x, but I haven't managed to get eepe updated with these yet.

Yup. Figured er9x would have a similar system.
