How to get more memory

Post by bekkarim »

Hi
I'm using my Turnigy 9x with the Er9X firmware
I'm trying to get more memory for all my models.
Is there any mod to change the internal memory to a bigger size ?
thanks

There are a few ways.

1. If you use open9x you can upgrade your CPU. This will allow more storage. It is however not for the faint hearted and not the simplest route!

2. Get yourself an sky9x upgrade board.

3. Get yourself a gruvin9x upgrade board.

Check the wiki. It has links to the various options.

Not an immediate answer, but some thought is going into using an external EEPROM on the developing TelemetrEZ board. This would increase the storage available, but will need some code implementation to use it.

That is my option 1 :)

Open9x currently supports this by allowing the extras storage to be used.

Changing to a MEGA128 will give you 4K EEPROM instead of 2K. Hopefully, in due course, a device on the TelemetrEZ board will have much more.

They are pretty much interchangeable :)

You can test this yourself by trying companion - use the simulate function :)

If enough people change to a '128, I can see about a '128 version of er9x. Problem is I shall have to change a board myself!
