Gruvin Board
Gruvin Board
The new Gruvin replacement board is available in the store
http://gruvin9x.com/shop
blank boards, partly pre-soldered and assembled and tested.
I got mine (ass.) last week and made a first test this weekend.
For me as "function-modeler" its just perfect...
All the goodies of the original, USB, SD-card, more channels and telemetry.
I placed it in my Prafa case and all worked well with the 12channel Spektrum- and the FrSky module (for telemetry testing).
Good stuff!

Re: Gruvin Board
That TX really does look the business. Like the previous poster has said, I don't know it at all. For a lot of us, something like that would be ideal to use to take the innards of the 9X or one of the new cards that are going to come out.
Prafa
Prafa was a German "Radio-Control" unit and mainly car model producer.
The company closed in 2004 (I think).
The radios were far away from the mainstream. Lots of channels, lots of setting possibilities a.s.f.
Like a Rolls Royce (in the price also).
Inside was working an Intel processor with all the goodies and badies around it...
In between we have "reproduced" the case for our needs.

Re: Gruvin Board
Ah I remember Prafa, that is going back. I must know more about the Tx, was it produced on a 3d printer ?? What gimbals etc. ??
Re: Gruvin Board
Yes we "print" it on a HP-3D printer.
This one is the first case. The next one has 2 HF-Slots and a lower front for better haptic...
No gimbals or holes for til now. I dont use gimbals.
If we are happy with the result I place it as a download in shapeways. So anyone can order and adjust it for personal preferences...
Any further ideas and/or tipps for modding the case to best use are welcome.

Re: Gruvin Board
Hi,
bought the blank pcb, went shopping for parts, got most in two places. Now I look at al this and know this soldering job is not for me.
Would love to buy the fully assembled pcb and cd-card addon - but sold out in shop.
No replies on pm via shop - currently the shop is not reachable?

Hi,
Does the Gruvin Board support Optrex F-55472GNFJ-SLW-AAN LCD? If not what mods are required?
Best Regards

Re: Gruvin Board
No it's not supported. But better to ask on the gruvin9x mailing list to have an answer from Bryan!

Re: Gruvin Board fuses programming
Hello everyone! Yesterday my 4.1 board is finally complete. I programmed the atmega2560 with firmware for 4.1 board (with templates, ppmca, autoswitch and pgbar features), all works, but the system is very very slow. I don' have touched any fuse setting, but I think there is a problem about the clock speed (2-4Mhz instead of 16). May I have to change the fuses settings? I used Companion9x to program the ic, so can I use it to change the fuses values (without brick the entire system)?
Thank you!!

Re: Gruvin Board
The fuses settings in companion, if you have selected open9x-v4 as firmware should be ok.
If you want to be even more sure check programmer configuration and verify you have selected 2560 as MCU
Then write fuses to your radio
