9x wont turn on after flashing
Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing
You are a god damn genius, guess what? IT WORKS!!!! Thank you so much! But it would be interesting why it wouldn´t work with companion.
Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing
you're welcome.
glad you got it going. It will work with companion now that your usbasp's have been updated. As far as which setting to use in all the various places within opentx to make it work, that is beyond my comprehension. It is important to realize that using the gruvin board with opentx probably isnt a very common usage. I advise opening another thread and looking for a 'Need opentx on Gruvin advice' or something similar.
happy flying in Austria .

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing
There's two -p's in your command. Remove the -p m64 one and things will go better. But who cares, now?Koarl wrote:And after flashing I tried to read the FW from the usbasp using epee, this is the output:

Started AVRDUDE
/usr/local/bin/avrdude -c usbasp -p m64 -p m8 -U flash:r:/Users/carloskammerlander/Desktop/usbasprperkinscommand.bin:r
=================================================================================
But hey, yay! Looks like you finally made it and got everything working. Awesome. \o/
Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing
FYI . the last -p takes precedence .gruvin wrote: There's two -p's in your command. Remove the -p m64 one and things will go better. But who cares, now?
thanks for checking in. I know nothing about the gruvin/opentx. Hopefully he will start a new post to use the gruvin in companion and you guys can help him out
Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing
Right, who cares?
Gruvin, do you know why it wouldn´t work with companion or should I open a new thread?
Thanks!

I saved a draft of a more lengthy reply, but stuffed if I can find out how to get to that. God I hate stupid forum software ... :/ Anyway ...
It should work find with Companion. What exactly is not working?
If you start a new thread, please email me the topic URL.

Re: 9x wont turn on after flashing
When you use companion (or eepe), you set the path to avrdude in the configuration. THis means you could be using a different version of avrdude to the one you use on the command line.

That one had me fooled for a while, more than once.MikeB wrote:When you use companion (or eepe), you set the path to avrdude in the configuration.
It's under Settings / Configure Communications. Same place you select which programmer hardware you have. Default is C:/Program Files (x86)/OpenTX/avrdude.exe, on my Windows version. That is, Companion ships with its own version of AVRDUDE, which is separate to any you may have installed.
In any case, make sure the, "Programmer" selection says, "usbasp".
You might need to set the , "Port" to "usb". Doing so shouldn't hurt, but it's not usually needed for the USBASP, for kind of obvious reasons (USB).
You should not need any, "Extra Arguments".

Turkish How do I make I want to make your program? What I need to install the program. Turkish language support regardless if the number of users increases dramatically.
