Menu button registering as the Exit button after 9Xtreme insall

Hey all,

I just installed my new 9Xtreme board yesterday on my 9x and after removing soldered wires from the mainboard (for ER9x) and a lcd blacklight. The 9xtreme board appeared to install properly and everything is working correctly except the Menu button is doing the same thing as the Exit button. Meaning if you press the Menu button, it acts like you pressed the Exit button. The Exit button works as normal. The arrow buttons, gimbals, switches, and pots look like they are working properly. Since running into the issue I have done a complete teardown/rebuild of the 9x with the 9xtreme board a few times.

It is quite odd... If the Menu button's switch was failing, wouldn't it just not work anymore and not register like the Exit button?!

I had Er9x installed prior to the 9xtreme board, could that have caused something like this?

Also I would like to try to reinstall the slave software on the mainboard but I can't because the Menu button doesn't currently work...

Any ideas or suggestions to help troubleshoot this?

The menu button connects to pin 11 of the atmega.. the same pin as the SCK programming pad.. The exit button connects to pin 12, which is right next to pin 11.. Please look for shorts between the two pins.. maybe a blob of solder.. check also if there is no short between the resistors connected to the pins.. A good way of looking for shorts is taking a good resolution picture and then examine it on the computer..

Yeah that was it, a tiny solder short on the top of the 11 and 12 pins. I could barely see it even in a zoomed in high res picture. I ran x-acto blade between them and saw it pop off. It must of been when I removed the excess solder off the SCK pin solder pad with a de-soldering wick. Everything is working correctly now.
