Linux version later than 402

eepSKYe is the desktop too for flashing and managing your sky9x firmware.

Linux version later than 402

Post by Suncoaster »

Is there a later version than 402 for Linux systems available yet. I am after the version that supports the new Voice alarms feature.

He's looking for eepskye, not companion.

I think that will give me an excuse to boot my PC on linux and let it do all the updates then ;) not that I should have done it anyway..

Mike, at least the windows version of eepskye still has that problem on the custom switches when using timer.. No way I can select a time smaller than 1s. If we try to do it, it's just not possible to edit it anymore. the arrows disappear and we have to select other function before we can select a timer again. if i try to write the value, it is not possible to insert a point..

Testing the linux version shortly..

I think if you close the whole modelediting window then re-open it again, it does sort itself out.

Funny enough, I just opened eepskye on Linux again and it worked first time. And repeatable.. I don't understand why it didn't work before. But if you try to insert a value smaller than 1s with the keyboard, it still doesn't work.. not possible to insert the point.
Very strange..

I may have a fix for that now!
It is difficult to program in eepskye as the actual stored value for a time of 0.1 is -1. I put a small window over the top of the original, but it seems to 'forget' the size it is supposed to be and suddenly appears larger.

Thanks Mike, one small problem at least on my system, the dropdown box for the source field cuts off the top of the data in the field. And one other problem it doesn't exit cleanly, I end up with my desktop background trashed.

Which source field? Mix, voice alarm etc.?
I run linux in a virtualbox, for compiling and testing. It seems to exit OK in there!

When you add or edit a mix the field where you select the source for the mix. I have not been able to reproduce the exit problem again it only happened the first time and has exited cleanly since, so I will keep an eye on it and see if there is a sequence of events that causes it.

On my version of linux I get a list pop up, with an arrow at the bottom to allow access to those items that don't fit on the screen. If I click on the arrow, the list scrolls up, and another arrow appears at the top to allow scrolling down. Nothing is missing!

I know it is a drop down list box my comment was that whatever item you select the top part of the text is cut off when the list closes, in fact on my machine all the drop down list boxes in that form have the same problem. I checked the windoze version on my virtual machine and they are fine. As I said it is no big deal and I can live with it.

I was able to reproduce the abnormal exit again today the following message was displayed in the terminal output "QClipboard: Unable to receive an event from the clipboard manager in a reasonable time"
I don't know if this will help or not.
