Hy,
why do you allways work with no compatible USB Progammer and get problems were you don´t need it.
cheap china 5-8€ USB ISP-programmer will work or not depending of the enviroment of the hardware
use this one: mysmartUSB light cost 15€
http://www.myAVR.de or
http://shop.myavr.de/index.php?sp=artic ... tID=200006
I use it since 5 years in differtent projects,
it runs allways with no change in Hardware or resistors or Reset or speed or firmeware
never problems with nothing,really!
with 3.3V or 5V or 0V
high speed
6 pin
works as a stk500 (or other type for select)
with all AVR Prozessor
For th9x flashing I use it with no Power from ISP Programmer (5V off 3,3V off)
th9x main swith is allways on!
and so my programming interfce has only 5 pins (no 5V-Power pin needed!)

Re: my smart USB Light Programmer
Hey, that's what I have.. yes, recommended.. very good.. I also program the radio with power off, and 3.3V on for the new sound module, but I guess I could do it with thew radio on and leave the programmer power off?

Re: my smart USB Light Programmer
hy,
it works with both ISB-Progrmmer 5V on AND TX power on --> OR only TX Power on
Now I use only a 5 Pin socket with no 5V from ISB-Programmer, so only TX Power on
All runs very well

Well, you are right (i own that one too), but if you want to place the programmer inside the radio, better to go on cheaper ones

Re: my smart USB Light Programmer
For many of us 15 is no big price. Many however can only spend 3-5. That's where the trouble starts. I'm sure if you add to wiki where to buy it and how to use it many will try it first.
