Re: Replace the 9x motherboard, but can't flash er9x?
Thank you for all the help you and Mike provided! This is what I had to do to flash the firmware. I used my Windows 7 laptop. Nothing wrong with my Mac, I can manipulate Windows 7 easer. So, I made sured the programs were installed correctly, and in the right order, and in right location just like you indicated. It finally as able to flashed it. One of the things I found after flashing the firmware was, that I have two bad switches. MikeB great job on the software!jhsa wrote:Here is your photo with some explanation..

What firmware file did you flash?
If the switches are THR and AIL, then this may be due to the telemetry mod or settings.
Have you done the telemetry mod?

Re: Replace the 9x motherboard, but can't flash er9x?
I used the er9x-128.hex, and no I did not do the telemetry mod. I didn't know about it. I do have a old Rev 4 SmartieParts board and a telemetrEZ board in my 9x.
What do I need to do?

OK, you need to go to the "Hardware" menu. Hold the left trim switch to the left and power on the Tx, this enables the hardware menu.
Go to "Radio Setup", then select the "Hardware" menu.
Tick the "Frsky Mod Done" box (the TelemetrEZ does this mod for you!).
Also, if you have updated the TelemetrEZ firmware to rev 90 or higher, tick that option as well. You would want the TelemetrEZ updated if you want to use SPort telemetry from a FrSky XJT module.

I haven't updated the telemetryEZ software do I need to update first, and how do I do it? It seem I been missing out on the full functionality of this board!
Thx MikeB

Something I missed from your reply the two switches are the THR and AIL, so I do need to update the telemetrEZ board.

You only need to update the TEZ if you want to use a FrSky XJT module.
First off, get the "Frsky Mod Done" box ticked and check the THR and AIL switches are working.
