simulator input with lot of noise
simulator input with lot of noise
hi, i recently got the 12 in 1, the sims and apps installed with no problem. my only concern is that the channel input at rest (all 4 moving surfaces) have noise (the signal input in either realflight and phoenix 4 jitters a lot) its not bad enough that i cant practice but its annoying .
i tried to change my stereo cables and no change, tried to change to filter the signal on the transmitter and the same. what can i do??
same happens with my 2 er9x transmitter, im also using the mix (posted in this forum) that allowed 6 channels to be recognized. (noise is present in all the 6 channls). BY the way i have a question about this can we mix further the Transmitter and probly get 8 channels. is there any limitation in the dongle or Tx to not have the 8 channels (per videos on youtube phonix and realflight "real" dongles can do this with no problem?
thxs for your time.

Sounds to me like you either have a bad cable.
Maybe even just a dodgy USB port?

Re: simulator input with lot of noise
I have to ask, does this happen with other brand tx's with your USB interface?
I just got some brand usb interface from leaders so I'll have to find a free sim to try it.

Re: simulator input with lot of noise
at the moment i only hve 2 er9x radios, i already tried changing USB and stereo cables but noise continues.
could it be that it needs mono cable?? or that shouldnt matter.
other crazy idea is a magnet in the cable to reduce noise could it work??

A magnet, no, but a Ferrite ring (bead) might work, it's used to reduce interference.

I would try a mono cable. Could be the connection is right between where it needs to be. The jack is a mono jack anyway.

Re: simulator input with lot of noise
What does an OScope on the ppm out while feeding the USB adapter show? Is it really noise?
With the module out the scope could be hung on the ppm pin.
In fact, is it any better with the module removed? I know the resistor mod is to reduce the load on the ppm line but there may be some "crud" feeding back from what ever brand module is plugged in.

right now the module is hanging cuz is the turnegy and the antenna is still conected but i havent made the resister mod on this one yet. But the other er9x transmitter have same noise and have no module just the dsm2 mod

Re: simulator input with lot of noise
I have the same issue with er9x 760, a 9 in 1 and Phoenix. Doesn't seem to affect flight though. I've noticed there is a lot more "noise" with the el back light on. Maybe this is where it's coming from and next time I have it open I'll unplug the light and see if it still happens
