I'm sorry for asking such noob questions, but I'm sifting through 5+years of preliminary hacking that has been refined really well, but it's super hard to see which information is still pertinent.

I ordered a HK 9x and a 9xprogrammer usbasp programmer. Can it be safely permanently installed? I was going to permanently solder the programming leads and replace the male A with a micro B receptacle.
