Teranis and Sport Vario

Post by jscs90 »

Hi All
I have only just joined this forum, so if I'm going over old ground then my apologies.

I have recently purchase two X8R Rx's and the S Port normal precision Vario. Having tried many times for the Taranis to display the altitude and failing completely I came to this forum and have read countless posts on the subject.
I have updated the firmware of the Taranis and opened the telemetry window. The telemetry type is S port, and the variometer source is VSpd. I have set the screen 1 to read A1 (Rx battery) and Alt for the vario. When I connect up the Rx and vario the display show the battery voltage but just zero for the vario no matter what height is. I assume the Vario has the latest firmware as it is dated 23 April 2014 and since I had to wait for the Rx's I assume also that their firmware is also the latest.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated.

Brian

Just checking, you have plugged the Vario into the SPort (by the antennas) and not the SBUS port?

Many thanks for the reply.
Yes, that was one of the first things I checked.
