unusual behaviour of eePe r393

Post by KAL »

My hard- and software:

I'm using eePe r393 on Win 7 (64) and er9x r810-2561 on a th9x with Atmel 2561 and FrSky mod for switches.
Actually not a FrSky but a spektrum module out of an actual DX4e is implemented.
Also a Megasound 9X from forum user HC1969 is built-in.

What goes wrong:

On the radio all models are set to protocol "DSM2" and DSM type "DSM2/DSMX".
When I read back the settings to eepe most models show an empty entry at DSM type except
model 1 that shows "DSM2Only" and models 2 + 7 that show "DSM2/DSMX"
(see attached eepe-file).

Btw: the sound mode entry in "General Edit" window is empty where it should show "Megasound".
An entry "Megasound" is available but seams not to correspond with the setting on the TX.

PS:
While searching for the models with the different DSMX entries a few minutes ago I encountered a
weird behavior of the simulator with the attached eepe-file:
The trims are oscillating as soon as I want to change one of them and the horizontal trims are coupled
just as the vertical ones.
Don't know if it's a problem of my computer system or if it's a general problem.

PPS:
It's not a problem of a specific model.
When I overwrite the general settings with the settings of a new file the sim works fine.

Edit says:
When I write this eePe file back to the TX all models show DSM type "DSM2/DSMX"

eepe is not quite up to date with er9x! I should get a new revision of eepe out tomorrow that will, hopefully, fix these problems.

Now that I got a test version for '2561 some feedback:
  • the problem with the DSM type entry seams to be solved
  • in read back data entry "Sound mode" still is empty when "Megasound" is selected on TX
but on the other hand, when I select "Megasound" in eepe and write data do TX, TX shows correct entry "Megasound"
(not a problem for me, but can irritate others)
  • the sometimes weird behavior of the trims in simulator is still there. Found out that it only shows up when "Cross Trims" is activated.
