Receiver match

Post by martinburr »

Hi folks,
I am having a bit of trouble with the receiver match function on the Taranis. I have mainly the older D8 types. I have assigned a different location number each time i have bound a new Rx, but any model memory will talk to any of my receivers.
Where am I going wrong please?
Thanks, Martin

Hi Romolo,
Thank you for the prompt reply, that would explain my problem. May I suggest that this is made clear as it was a feature i was very much looking forward to using. I do think the Taranis is excellent regardless.
Thanks , again for your prompt reply, Martin

Since RX match isn't available yet, shouldn't choosing RX id in D8 mode be disabled?

Receiver match

Post by bobnj »

Hello

I have a new X8R and I can select any model in my "Model Selection" menu and operate it with
the same receiver by selecting that receiver in the "Model Setup" page.

This would allow me to make a mistake by using the wrong model setup to fly the wrong plane
if I'm not paying attention at start up.

Is this the way it's supposed to work?

Of of the many manuals out there says this -->
ABBC3_OFFTOPIC
Receiver Match offers that each transmitter program for a particular flight model is bound to one and only one receiver, which prevents a user from flying his model while the transmitter is still programmed for it.
Thanks
Bob

In the model setup, you need to set the Rx Number to be different for each model.

Thanks Mike.
I understand that, but with the other system I use, it is not possible
to fly any other model with the same bound receiver, no matter what.

I know it's kind of unlikely to make that kind of mistake with this
system, but just to know it's possible is what I was after.

Take care

When you create a new model the number is automatically set to that model's slot number, so unless you change things yourself or move models from one slot to the other the number will always be different and achieve its receiver match goal.

But then some people like me like to have 2 memories for different configuration of the same model and tend to see the receiver match system as a nuisance, hence the ability to bypass it.
