Hi,
I'm slightly frustrated with my APM, specifically with the rather unprecise 3-LED status indicator which is hidden inside the plane, so I have been thinking what I could do...
First idea was to use a Nano with an RGB LED, let it decode the MAVLink from the telemetry port. Then I thought, a PoV display would be kinda cool.
Has anybody here experience with PoV displays? Has an R/C aircraft the right speed for a PoV display?

PoV display for R/C aircrafts?

Helicopters, yes

(this obviously doesn't alias in real life like in the video)
No way with an airplane, unless you mount something that rotates on it. Maybe the prop?
