Alerts on power after FrSky mod

Post by Jessestr »

Hi

I used ER9X without any problem. I flashed my radio with the smartieparts solderless board which was easy to do and I also ordered TelemetrEZ board. A simple and quick PCB to attach which gives the telemetry option.
I didn't use the board and used the ER9X.hex without any problem. However I installed the board and I get Throttle & Aileron Switch Alerts that they are not "off".

If I press continue and flick the switches nothing happens on the screen. After like 5 seconds the switches start working.. like there is some kind of delay.. Has anyone experienced this?

So I'm using ER9X-Frsky.hex now with the TelemtrEZ (http://www.smartieparts.com/shop/index. ... cts_id=337).
I tried Open9X too to check if it had the same problem and yes it did. Everything is wired as it should be.

Thanks in advance

Jesse

If you have the telemetrez then yes you need to use the frsky version of er9x, and the telemetrez version of open9x.

Yes the original firmware on the telemetrez does this. It causes no problems other than the delay that you see. Upgrading the firmware on the telemetrez will solve the problem.

Ah many thanks! Found the topic about the TelemetrEz. Open9X works fine but I have the delay. Er9x did work with the FrSky HEX file. But it didn't activate the switches anymore. Only Open9X worked.

How can I update the TelemetrEz? I can't find it in the topic. Many thanks!

I get this same problem with a stock 9XR, but without the 5 second delay on the switches. They just don't work. I've flashed Open9X and ER9X using Companion9X. I'm using an FrSky DJT module. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Thanks,
Don

you have to flash the normal er9x version and not the frsly version if you didn't do the telemetry mod re-routing those 2 switches to another pins of the processor. That's why they're not working.

Thanks for the tip. I reflashed Open9X without the FrSky option checked in Companion9X and it solved the problem.

Yes, because with the frsky mod, the processor is expecting to see those 2 switches connected to other pins..
Good that you've sorted it out.. ;)
