I have a 2016 X9D+ which I upgraded previously, changing over to Hall effect gimbals, and moving the momentary switch from right to left. If I wanted to bring it up to date, is this a case of swapping out the motherboard, or are there too many changes to make it worthwhile?
If I change to a new X9D+ (probably SE model), or a Horus X12S, would I still be able to use the transmitter module I built to use with my small quad with a Spectrum receiver?
I understand D8 protocol is not working on the new transmitters without an external module as well. I have another quad with a D8 receiver built into the flight stack, so I guess I will need to buy the module if I want to continue using it.
Are there any other issues I should consider?
Thanks in advance!
Change pre-2019 X9D+ to latest spec, or replace
