Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Excellent, can't wait for my TX16S to arrive and try it. Thanks.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
I have just posted a new test version of erskyTx, and the RM TX16S is included.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
hello, can somebody help me? i just bought radiomaster tx16s from banggood,
my problem is that my motor will not start at normal throtle that is -100 it only beeps and when i put the stick fully up it will arm .
from top position i can run my motor towards down and full power at lowest stick position with -100.
Radiomaster support trouble shoot but puzzled why the motor start at +99 and full power at -100.
calibration was done 5x. firmware was updated to 2.3.10 MPM updated also.still the same issue.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Just reverse the direction of the channel on the outputs page?
Re: MasterRadio TX16S
hello Kilrah, i just perform all the reversing, from model set up to outputs, inputs.
Still the motor starts at +99 up to negative 100 in full power.
I open my channel monitor to check the movements.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
What did you do? If you reversed in 2 places then you're back to the same... Check on the monitor that the direction actually changed. If that doesn't work then you've probably got something wrong on the other end, but you never said what was connected to the receiver.
Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Kilrah , i did it one by one and include the model set up throttle reverse.
all with same result that my trhottle works on +100 to-100.
By the way , i am migrating from 10J futaba to tx16s with compatible sfhss rx.
futaba throttle is reverse and also expo is negative.
MPM should be aware of the futaba protocol or OPEN tx .
I can fly my model in reverse model setup with stick low and +100 to -100 on monitor. throttle cut was also set to +100.
The problem is the counter which was set to start at throttle start. it starts counting on +100 which is stop on my motor and stop counting on -100 or full power.
Hoping that SFHSS user in tx16s could relate to my concern.
Thanks..

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
what does the start screen look like, like the other screens. is erskyTx integrated or independent as with the taranis transmitters

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
I'm not sure what you are asking. erskyTx is available for the RMTX16S, just flash the .bin file to the radio. If you use eepskye, you may customise the splash screen, it is embedded in the .bin file.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
hello Mike the way I see it, radiomaster has created a screen with an information bar. after tapping a sub-program such as set up model, you come to open tx or erskyTx. the radio setting then also opentx or erskyTx. Color settings are from Radiomaster? Are there already users of Radiomaster with erskyTx?
I only use er9x and ersky9x on my channels. I get along very well with it, but I find the screens of TX16S appealing

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
The TX16s runs the same opentx out of the box that is available on the other opentx-running color LCD radios, there is nothing specific to RM other than support for the specific hardware.
Re: MasterRadio TX16S
thanks for the information, have not yet seen a color screen with opentx
Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Hello Mike, I have a request. Could you describe step by step how erskyTx is flashed in TX16S.
I would simply integrate the ersyTx.bin file into the SD card firmware. is that enough or do you have to do something "more".
The radio with openTx is nice, but I am familiar with erskyTx. Thank you

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Yes, I think putting the .bin file in the firmware directory of the SD card and then using the bootloader to flash it should work.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Did not work. the bootloader started and it flashed too quickly and nothing happened. I haven't changed the bootloader! I have to reread in peace what one could do. the bootloader would have to be changed or one would have to have one's own. a new SD card could help?
Thanks Mike
Thanks Mike
Re: MasterRadio TX16S
my attempts were unsuccessful. I also cannot download erskytx for TX16s via eeprom. what other possibilities are there? Thank you

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Two possibilities (at least).
1. Go to the erskyTx test version thread and download eepskye5.zip dated 12-Dec-2020 19:53. Install this by extracting all files, keeping the directory structure, to a suitable directory (e.g. eepskye5). Then run this eepskye, and it should let you flash the radio (radio in bootloader mode), you may wish to backup the existing firmware first.
2. Use Zadig and DFU-UTIL to flash the radio in power off mode.
When you tried to flash from a file in the firmware directory, did you get any error messages or did it just not work?

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Thanks Mike.
to 1. I downloaded both data and brought them together in a new folder. but the download via eespe does not work, it does not find the server! i inserted the TX16s .bin separately.
to 2. I'll try that tomorrow.
I'll manage to equip the transmitter with erskytx.
stay healthy, have a nice evening

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
With the TX16S in bootloader mode, when you connect the USB, you should see two hard drives appear. One is the SD card and the other is the firmware. For the firmware drive, what is the volumes name and what is the name of the firmware file please?

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Sorry when the bootloader mode was updated, the control was switched off, so I didn't see anything. I don't (yet) know how to get into the bootloader mode normally.
flashing the TX16S.bin again with the new bootloader was unsuccessful. I am very careful and do not dare to flash from eepe, can something happen? and then I won't come back. At the moment the display annoys me, I changed something by pressing it and can't get back to the original.

flashing tx16s.bin with companion did not work. the green bar was there but at the end companion said: cannot save, unknown error

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Let us make sure you are following the correct procedure:
1. Start the radio in bootloader mode by holding the two horizontal trims towards the centre then power on. You should see a screen showing the bootloader is running.
2. Connect the USB cable to the radio and computer, check you see two hard drives appear on the computer. One is the SD card and the other is the firmware. For the firmware drive, what is the volumes name and what is the name of the firmware file please?
3. Run eepskye (not eepe). In the "burn" menu, select "Read Firmware form Tx". Let me know what happens as well as the hard drive information.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Hi Mike,
I did everything according to the instructions. Everything worked out. 2 hard drives were displayed. Drive firmware only means: TX16S (F FAT, clicking on it only resulted in: Firmware; the SD card has many compartments.
reading with eepske resulted in no action and display. Unfortunately no statements! can this have something to do with the fact that I updated the bootloader with Zadig?

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Hi Mike,
Flashing another piece of information with eepskye from tx16s_rom does not work, but also with companion opentx-tx16s ... does not work either.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
Hello Mike, as already written from the PC, I could not charge via companion and eepskye with cable. when the SD card was in the PC I could load it. when I load the individual firmware in the controller's bootloader, this worked for all opentx programs. your software tx16s_rom said, almost illegible, not found! can it be that an identification mark is missing here? My transmitter is from the last production and it could be that a lock is installed. Also has a second speaker. greeting

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
When selecting the file to write are you selecting the file on the computer (not the one on the SD card)?
After selecting the file to write, you should see: Do you see exactly this (the filename exactly as shown)?
If the radio is not detected then you should see: Do you see this?
If the radio is detected, next data should be transferred: Do you see this?
Finally it should finish OK showing: When you say eepskye reports "not found!" do you see that exact text?

Re: MasterRadio TX16S
first test: gimbal on the right, gas-thruttle, runs in the opposite direction.
minus input was unsuccessful.
software no. erskyTx = A4r 223
the screen could be used more, it is a lot of work, maybe also a bit of color.
I'm not home for the next few days, greetings Phil
