OpenTX v2.3 and OXS GPS issue

Post by Hobby4Life »

Hi all,

I have just moved to OTX v2.3, before this move I used OXS with a UBX neo8 GPS with no problems.

When powering on the receiver with GPS/OXS connected.. within a minute a fix and my telemetry page is updating.

Now with OTX v2.3 powering up the receiver within a minute a fix.. but NO update on my telemetry page.
Until...... I replug the GPS in the smartport.
Then telemetry page is updated, and running perfectly.

OXS is running on a Pro Mini 5v M168 @ 16mhz

Any ideas?

oXs does not send GPS data as long as there is no fix.
Probably that OTX2.3 detects the available telemetry data only at startup (with some time out)????

Works flawlessly on my side. X9D 2.3, oXs with neo8 GPS.
If your GPS signals a fix with its LED, the accuracy is often not good enough for oXs. oXs waits then for a better fix (edit: which makes of course a lot of sense), more satellites, better HDOP, before it starts transmitting GPS data.
Mstrens knows exactly, he is the culprit :D
