I'm sure the info is here but what I have read is a little confusing on the exact installation...So , I have two brand new 9xr pro's .I have added 2 3way switches to each . updated firmware .I want to add the rotary encoder to each . What is the exact installation to add one? I have the plug in's on the board that say encoder . I have not attempted installation and the encoders are on order .Please help and thank you for all the hard work and info you have provided

Thanks for the reply . Yes I had looked at these and the diagram on rcgroups .I just wanted to make sure if I wire straight to the encoder plug in on the circuit board I wasn't going to smoke something (I've been lucky so far) lol...I have a Taranis but I Like the pro better . I have a disability in my hand and the encoder really will help me .I need all 3 pots so I'm gonna have to figure out where to mount it . Do I need to use the resistors or can I wire it without them ?
You guys are awesome
Thanks
Allen

Check the first link, you can wire it directly to the board.
I did use the resistors and caps on mine to make some filters, as my encoder was misbehaving, and jumped forwards and backwards. With the filters it works as it should

So I installed the rotary encoders on each radio as per your circuit, and they work perfect . Thanks so much for your time and effort

Hi Joao,
I also had the same misbehaviour with my rotary encoder, and I thought I got a faulty unit.
The other day reading this thread I found your RC filter and installed it.
Now the encoder works as it should.
Thank you,
Miguel

Yes, mine was really bad and I kept replacing it with a new one, but the problem was always there. then I found this filter and installed it. it works really good now..

Ya I tried it without the filter (lazy) and of course it was all over the place . So as soon as I added the filter it was perfect .I have two radios so I did both . I need a fourth pot on my radios can it be done ? I have posted this in the pro hardware so not trying to post in multiple places .

I would need to get to my computer or my radio to check.
But if there is another analog input available I think it should be possible.
