EZPi - Octopi Upgrade to my CR10 3D Printer


This upgrade is very good to do as it allows you to have remote access to your 3D Printer
and having a USB Web Cam you can help to have visual monitoring in-real-time of your printing job.

   List of Parts Used

1) Raspberry Pi 3B
2) Raspberry Case with Fan and Cooling Heatsink: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhmjlL3Pkhs).
3) 5 volt Power Supply that has at least 3 amps or more output power (USB connection).

  I used:(https://hobbyking.com/en_us/15w-3a-usb-charger-1.html).

4) SanDisk Ultra Micro SD card 32 GB (you want to use a quality micro SD card as the cheap ones can become easily corrupted).
5) Download EZPi image (zip) file from TH3D.
6) USB cable for connection between Raspberry Pi and CR10 Control Box.
7) Ethernet connection.
8) USB Web Camera (Logitech c270).

This works with the pi-3 and pi-4.

Here is a newer upgrade for running Octoprint:
EZPi R4+ V2 – Octoprint Kit – 3D Printer Network Controller from TH3D store.
It dose cost more then if you purchased the parts separately,
but if you have difficulty getting it all to work together,
this upgrade kit is very good and it comes with very good support too.
