So... I have now established that the ATTiny processor on the beta boards needs to be programmed in some way to enable use of the rotary encoder.
So.... the question is. How?
Mike, Brent? Do you have a step by step guide we can follow to do this?

There is no code written for the ATTiny ..the encoder support for it has not been done yet.
The Rotary encoder I sent hooks into the ARM not the ATtiny.
you will need a 14 pin adapter cable to to program the Attiny through a AVRISP programmer.
I will get a procedure ready

Co-Processor Info:
(No other power or connections to the board)

Mike has programmed the ATtiny with a 5V programmer , by providing 5V power to the Battery connection.(No other power or connections to the board)

Yes, Connect the +5V to pin 2 of J28, and the other 5 signals and 0V as on Brent's diagram. The 5V is blocked by diodes from getting to the 3.3V supply line.

Ok... so I am still a bit confused here..
On the beta boards.. do we need to do anything to enable the rotary encoder?

Anyone fancy helping me get through my confusion?

The Aux connector supports the encoder. This connects to the ARM micro.
The co-processor COULD have more encoders hooked up to its ports ..(of course you need to write the code)
Load ERSKY , press UP menu button .... the encoder values are in the upper right corner of the display..
