Hi. I have got it fixed now thanks to this forum. I was not holding much hope so was trying to hedge my bets if I did need to replace the board. I was pleased that my analysis was correct and it was the nice people in this group that gave me the knowledge how to fix it

One day you will be helping others here .
I didn't know anything about flashing microcontrollers or soldering SMD components. Now I can even replace a processor on my radios. That is how much I've learnt thanks to this community.

btw João, how much Quick Chip material did you need to unsolder one processor ?

I think I used more than I should but did the 2 chips from both radios and still have a lot left.. and I bought a small quantity..
