Is that possible to adjust backlight color on per-model basis with current ErSky9x? If not, could it be added?
I suppose MikeB has the answer :-)

You may assign a global variable for each of the three brightness values (hold MENU down for a LOOONG time to toggle to a GVAR).
Then set the three GVAR values to set the colour.

The only problem is that we lose those GVARs for other things as they become global :(
Would it be possible to implement the backlight on a per model basis?
Maybe in the voice alarm menu, or a sub menu of that one called backlight..
We could adjust the 3 RGB values, a switch, and probably an option to flash it.
Just an idea :)

How many GVARs do you use that you can't afford to allocate 1, 2 or 3 to the backlight operation?
Note that there are 7 GVARS, but only the first 5 may be used in many places, so 6 and 7 are possibly available for the backlight anyway.

Ok, then perhaps would be nice to increase the number of GVARs as assigning them permanently to the backlight would leave only 4 for normal programming. In some cases that is not enough in my opinion..
Or maybe just implementing 3 more GVAR's specifically for the backlight..

The reason to have a specific backlight setting is that people see it in a menu and will actually use it.
Otherwise, using GVARs, no one will know that the feature is there, unless he/she read these posts.. And these posts will soon be hidden among thousands of other posts.. :)
A manual is also inexistent at the moment..

Thanks

João

Thanks! That will do for now, set all my models to different colours :-)
What else do you use GVARs for?
