so my swash plate is binding at the top and bottom of its travel and folks at other forums are telling me to lower the swash mix....but i cant seem to figure that out the only way i keep the swash plate from binding is by adjusting the travel limits on the three cyclic servos. is that what i am suppose to do? and i truly cant figure out how to get the cyclics to do what i need no matter what i do,....invert or change for positive to negative..... i can get the swash to raise leveled but when i need to go left or right or forward and back thats when they go crazy.....smh
i am truly not feeling this radio program maybe i just need time but at this moment i feel like i am about to throw this radio out the window!
feeling really frustrated!!!!!! how is it i dont have this problem with my simple 6 channel digital Tx?

PS
Joao, i have not broken the Tx again.....lol

I can see you didn't break it :) But if you decide to throw it out of the window, please send it to me instead ;) :)

Joking, I have enough good radios :)

Please download your eeprom from the radio onto eepe, save it to your computer as a ".eepe" file, and then post it here. Without seeing what you are doing, we are not able to help you..

and Joao, i wont throw the radio out the window...just yet....lol
but once again thanks for all your help and patience with this new guy here. i bow my head to you... :D

Have you tried the heli template? It is a starting point..

Also, is your heli flybarless?? I'm asking because if it is, you don't need any of this swash mixing stuff..
You can see that I'm not an heli guy even though I do understand a little how helis work, right?? ;) :)

First of all, personally I think you should start with all controls centered (new model), then make adjust all center points mechanically. Then make sure all servos are moving in the right direction. If not go to the Limits menu and reverse them. also adjust the sub-trim (center point) if you couldn't get them 100% right mechanically. You should not need much offset now. A good mechanical setup is very important, and it might save you some headaches later..

Then, adjust the max and min Limits (Limits menu) to avoid the servos reaching their limits and therefore getting damaged. set the limits somewhere before they reach the end of their physical limits. This avoid them being destroyed. Don't worry about setting the travel at this point. you don't do this in the Limits menu.

I can see that you have some limits set to -125%. That doesn't look right, specially when you are decreasing the weight in the mixer to 60% :o

Now make sure again all controls work again in the right direction. next you might want to setup the travel. You could do it in the mixer, Or, perhaps leave the swash mixes at 100% and adjust the travel in the Dual Rate / Expo menu.
If you don't set a switch for the rates, then the values you program will be always active. You don't need to add any switch if you don't need different rates.
In the Dual rate screen, you can adjust both sides of the travel independently by moving the corresponding stick to the side you want to adjust. Leave the stick centered for adjusting the values together..

Then you can worry about curves..

As I said, I have never programmed a heli.. Only in eepe :)

I hope this helps somehow

When you learn to work with it, you will understand why we use these radios :) And that is all I can say ;)

Hi, check this out.
It might give you a hand.
As an advice, first level mechanically you heli (i think you know that) and then adjust on the radio.
Please note that this is for flybar heli.
Check if channels correspond.
