I have "Frsky Dashboard" installed on my android phone.. But nothing compared to what you get on the radio.. But very nice to send telemetry data to other person for example..

Thanks Joao....revising the Ersky9x manual and doing some research on some of the BT possibilities. Also might try it myself when my HC-05 module arrives.

You can also try to setup a model live from eepskye using the BT.. I love this feature.. Will post a model tomorrow and a little explanation on how to do it.. ;)
Little video on using eepskye to program a model.. on this video I still didn't have the bluetooth module so I used an arduino board. But the procedure is the same

9XR Pro Stick Direction - mode 1

I installed new sticks in my Pro in order to switch it from mode 2 (throttle on left) to mode 1 (throttle on right). I'm a mode 1 flyer from 40+ years back, but I fly mode 2 when instructing, so I had left the Pro on mode 2 till now.

I was surprised to find when I did this that the stick directions for both axes on the right stick were reversed. This mean that the stick outputs were reversed relative to the relevant trim button actions. No issue with the left stick axes. (I have tried it with various versions of Ersky9xr from June through Aug 23 and all are the same.)

I used the option in Radio settings (under Controls in the new menu) to reverse the directions of the Aileron and Throttle sticks (I had already selected mode 1). Everything is now working fine, and it looks as though this is just a matter of the wiring of the pots on the right stick assembly. It just seems a bit odd that you can't simply drop in the mode 1 sticks as a replacement for the mode 2 ones.

Anyone else had experience in this area?

would it be possible to install the stick inverted?

I don't think so but I'll take another look. I just came back from flying with it, so all is working well.

Is it posable to just reverse the outside pot wires or am I missing the problem?

The 9XR has the right joystick rotated 180° from normal; the ratchet is on the inside edge on both joysticks.
If you look here: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/RC ... =9xr+parts you'll see they sell Mode 1 & Mode 2 versions of both sticks for that reason.

Either you accidentally ordered the wrong joystick, or they accidentally sent you the wrong one.

Your simplest solution at this point will be to remove the outer 2 wires from each plug shell on the pot wires with a safety pin and swap them side-for-side, provided the wires reach without binding.

Or just forget about it and let ersky9x handle the situation as you just did. The option is there to reverse the sticks, so all is working. Why bother?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will investigate further, but for now all is working fine with the sticks reversed in the Radio Settings - Controls menu.

I had wondered whether I could have installed the right stick assembly upside down, but just finished trying to invert it with no success. The ratchet on both sticks is indeed on the inside and they won't fit the other way round.

The sticks were ordered as mode 1. As it happens, I accidentally ordered an extra set of mode 1 sticks, so will compare the wiring.

EDIT: Got it. The wiring on the new mode 1 right stick is reversed relative to the one that's in there now. Will swap, then try to figure out if there's any way to tell them apart (other than wiring).

Installed new stick assembly. Removed reversal in Controls menu. Re calibrated. All working normally.

So his trims work in the right direction, I think.

I'd put it the other way round. The test is whether the sticks work in the same direction as the trims. They do now and they no longer need reversal of the sticks in the radio setup menu.

I've come to the conclusion that the first so-called mode 1 stick assembly wasn't. The second one I received had reversed pot wiring relative to the first and worked correctly.

So we know where the mistake was. ;) :)
