aileron channel +100% AIL
+50% RUD
other aileron channel
+100% AIL
-50% RUD
It's been a long day and I'll have to try this in the morning, but with your mix, won't the ailerons go in the same direction (right bank for instance) with the application of left rudder, and right rudder?

Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
I think that is supposed to refer to if left rudder yields left aileron(bank) swap the weight to get right aileron(bank).
Re: Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
Notice that one RUD weight is + and the other is -. If the ailerons don't go the correct direction for you then switch the signs. And no if you give left rudder the ailerons will cause a bank in one direction, let's call it right bank. So then if you give right rudder the ailerons will bank left. No curve needed for that one unless you want the movement to be non-linear.

Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
Thank you to everyone for the suggestions.
GOHST
Your mixes work great.
I chose the non linear route to have some flexibility.
I settled on Custom 9 point curves as they are convenient at 0 25 50 100
which makes it easier to estimate where to put the adjustments in the curves.
The only down side to my situation is that I use two aileron and two elevator servos
in my bigger planes.
This means that whenever the need for an adjustment arises, I need to make the same adjustments
in two mixes so both elevator curves are exactly the same, and one adjustment to each aileron mix
to change bank.
Attached is my set up so far.
There are some other things I'm working on so it is a work in progress.
One question I have looking at the attachment is that on the top of the sheet it says that
my Throttle Expo is disabled.
Is that because of the throttle curves?
It is enabled in both the "STICKS" and "MIXER" screens.
Thanks again for the help, and if you see something odd in the setup, please let me know.
Have a good day

Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
I've been thinking about something.
What are the chances of using the right slider to adjust the amount of elevator compensation/weight needed in these mixes when the rudder is deflected?
Sort of an adjustment that can be done while I'm flying.
Attached is a basic model with the mix.
Thanks
Bob

Re: Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
In order to control (when flying) the amount of elevator compensation, you can define a so called 'Volume Control' , commanded, for example, by the right slider.bobnj wrote:I've been thinking about something.

This control will act on the mixer percentage via a global variable.
In the file attached (see model Rud_ElevSR71) I decided to use the free channel CH10 as master volume control: with the parameter I selected, the CH10 swings between -50 and -10 when the right slider is fully moved.
Next, in the Custom function menu, I defined CF1 as follows:
CF1 ON Adjust GV1 Source: CH10 ON
the above means that CH10 directly changes the Global VARiable #1 (GV1).
Finally, that is easy, I used (in second row of CH3 and CH8 mixer) the GV1 as weight (insted of fixed -10%).
For more details about this technique (and many other excellent ideas), see the following page:

Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
Thanks for the file.
I had your link from a bit ago but work has been busy and I haven't had a chance to take
a look at it yet.
I need to get my priorities right d:
To boot, I can't get on the board from home anymore.
Something about being on a blacklist.
I'll look at your file soon.
I am very interested in Global Variables, but don't know what they are,
or how to use them.
Is there a link/tutorial/video on GV's anywhere?
Thanks again, and take care

Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
Trying a practice post to see if the "Blacklist" syndrome is gone yet?
Re: Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
Good to see you're back I had something similar happening about 2 years ago. Yesterday was even difficult to post. It would take sometimes some 5 minutes before the post was online. Then that was leading people to double post and gave the moderators some work.
But all seems to be ok now.
