Er9x currently puts the word PILOT and the owners name at the bottom left of the splash screen. This logo, for the splash screen, does not have space for this.
Do we still want/need the pilot's name on the splash screen?

Why not keep it simple and simply write 'SKY' next to the ER ? So as one word?

Thanks, encode them all, then write a little subroutine to randomly choose a new boot screen every other activation.. let's chew up the memory.. hey, with your board we could do an animated boot screen too... Hmmmm... there's enough memory, do a small animated sequence of 15 frames or something.. hmmmm....

Can the new display handle shades of gray? 16?32?64?128? If it does, that would be very very advantageous.

The last one could go on the normal er9x replacing the existing one.. It might even have space to write the pilot's name, which I like as well..

Yes, agree! Definitely the last one from all of these possibilities what is already posted. For that normal er9x

edit: it could be even better if the heli and plane goes to different directions and the text is in middle between those (littlebit below them).

,It was made that way too, but , in the interest of keeping it usable with the pilot name, the current design was posted. I just need to find the time to compile some and test them with my radio. see how they actually work.

These all look interesting, but are to a higher resolution then the actual screen (128x64). We need to see them on the correct resolution or they may not look so good.

That's what i said in my previous post, need to see how they work.
No worries, these are layout guides, i've had eons experience making gui's work with minimal palettes, resoltions, etc.

We've an idea, now to implement them.

Whats the location of 'pilots name' and the actual name x,y please, lower left I know, how many pixels from the edge, bottom.

The pilots name is in the bottom left corner, 8 pixels high, and up to 60 pixels wide (10 chars - 6 pixels each). On er9x, the word PILOT is above, it is part of the splash image so I'm not sure exactly where it is. There is a gap below it and the actual name, and it is in a bit from the left. It is a different font to the name so it is more than 30 pixels (5x6) wide.

These new logos are awesome! My main comment on that last image that everyone likes (including me) is that I'd personally like a less "blobby" helicopter, if you have a graphic for that... the 9X over the heli in the logo higher at least breaks it up...

So, when can we see the new logo on the main trunk ER9X firmware???

Random "hack" question: would it work to take the standard firmware and "patch" at binary offsets to replace the logo without a recompile? So many people JUST want to mess with the logo, it would be nice if that were reasonable to do...

I do, going to fly my 450 and get some shots of it at the same angle. Need an in flight shot , works better than the shots I've come across online. all are static, and nose down, I like nose up, make it look like it's 'popping' out of the screen.

If you have some pictures *with hardly anythng in the background, sky would be perfect* I can work with those to make a sihlouette from.

Oh yeah,

No more need to use lbm and such. From now on we can use jpeg and bmp. However, the end result will still have to be 128x64 and monochrome. Until we pimp up ersky9x that is
