HOW TO FIX THE STUCK 9X TRIM BUTTON, TRIM STICKING ISSUE

Post by fburden »

Here's how I fixed my stuck trim button. It would not move or click at all.
My solution was to flip the inner toggle around 180 degrees. It was a better fit. Put it all back together. Works just great now.
Neither the toggle nor the out part is straight. Flipping the toggle around was a way better fit and it clicks nicely now.

Are they curved by design?

Did the assembler put them together properly?

Anyways, this worked for me:)

One happy 9x owner, I have 3:)

Cheers!
P.S. sorry, the pics are in reverse order, scroll to the bottom and work your way up...

Notice how it is not that straight, a bit curved/concave.

Gently pull the inner toggle out, careful not to pry it too much as not to break it.

Still working fine for me, after one year. Flipping the toggle around solved the trim sticking issue for me.
