Well, like he always says, he gets the duds!
I love mine, got one of those first batches out of Aloft. No problems yet.

We will see over a period of time. May be it is just one of those 'duds' that happens on any electronics. The industrial average acceptable failure rate is 0.5%. For name brand, like Apple, it will be much lower that the OEM manufactory is required of.
But sounds like it is one of those 'loose contact' thing, hard to reproduce.

Re: Taranis-Another Video from RCModelReviews
I did that with my HK Turnigy 9x radios in the past and got free extra parts, or so I thought? Later I found that they weren't extra and I needed them.

It would be more effective to wrap the TX in a towel, then place it in the spin dryer for a short fast spin.kaos wrote:hmm, I think when we get a new tx we should tap and shake it vigorously before 1st use.

9 minutes of explaining people that a failure can happen with anything... you can really save yourself the loss of that amount of your lifetime

he just wants to show off his new studio.

The sad truth is that the average youtube user is unfortunately unable to understand it by himselfjhsa wrote:well, he had to do that to answer the hundreds of questions he had on the problem I guess..
Re: Taranis-Another Video from RCModelReviews
Yes and do a hot wash first!! That 'll really test it..It would be more effective to wrap the TX in a towel, then place it in the spin dryer for a short fast spin.

Re: Taranis-Another Video from RCModelReviews
I agree that many of Bruce's videos are about what's going to be covered in the next video.
He needs more persons helping and he could be the producer. Maybe subscription videos if they're were well done and to the point. Maybe Scott needs to help him out with how it's done. I do like Bruce's videos because if he could focus more.

Re: Sv: Taranis-Another Video from RCModelReviews
I love Bruces videos. He is very entertaining to watch and sometimes goes where no one has been. I agree that the videos would be even better if he could focus more. But I do not think that's in his nature. He seems to be much better at starting things than at completing them.

I think his videos are a hoot. But did you all see the Ringbu's crash video yesterday? over an hour of crashes? I had to tap out after a bit, I think it's half over on my PC.

Re: Taranis-Another Video from RCModelReviews
Years back when I worked at Wavetek RF products we manufactured a signal level meter ( RF DB scaled voltmeter) for the cable tv industry. ( sam 1000/2000 series ) . One of the processes was to put the assembled unit on a 'shake table' for a period of time before final testing. IMHO we did not get much return on investment for the time spent doing that test. I'm sure it was required for some specification, but it didnt flush much out. On a related note, they also had a hot/cold chamber. That process did catch batches of marginal components, sometimes.
