flashing with vista.

I put a question about flashing at the end of the flashing topic, I have a similar problem, code 1-dfu util not finished. I am stuck on the original firmware version. Can't use my Mac, so borrowed a PC laptop using Vista, it may end up down the bottom of the garden with my Macbook......... I have uninstalled, deleted and reinstalled a number of times.

help....
