Frsky signal

Post by oscarpescador »

Hi every body.
I put Frsky telemetry in to two gliders . After a about 20 flights, FrSky signal has begun to fail, as shown in the module. The signal comes and goes intermittently in both gliders.
Any recomendation to me ?

Guess?
If this happens with 2 different RXs I have to ask about the material the planes made of and antenna routing? Maybe pictures? What RX model?
If that's riled out the tx is common to both RX issues.
Is it posable your telemetry mod or module has issues?
I think I'm ok in saying this isn't a normal Frsky failure.
Is your tx antenna ok? Is your control range ok? Did you do any tx antenna change, different coax, where is it mounted?

I have two of these receivers .FrSky D8R-II 2.4GHz 8CH Telemetry Receiver
One glider is made of balsa wood ( 2 M bluebird from The Wingsmaker.com ) and the other scratch made with playwood and carbon fiber. In this one the antena goes through the carbon fiber tube.
My doubt is that they worked fine for two month. All the information by telemetry was in the screen without interruption. Volt, Alt, Thermo Scout.
It maybe the configuration of the transmitter? Its the only thing that I can think. Maybe I change some parameter ?
The thing that happening is that the black bar signal ( in the botton of screen ) is removed from the screen and the numbers frizee for 5/10 seconds. After that the numbers come again and the glider show a new altitude and goes again.
You can see it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMYUXzXIjUM.

Carbon finer stops 2.4 signals.

When you say it goes through. Is the antenna inside the tube?

Which firmware are you using er9x or openTx?
Have you recently updated the firmware, and if so, have these problems started after the update?

what TX is it? doesn't look like a T9X. looks like that is a DHT-U Tx module on top of the Tx?

My Tx is FrSky DHT-U - The All-In-One Telemetry Module with LCD Display. I think I will reprogram the Frsky DHT Module. Maybe when I program the second glider , I did something wrong.
During the first months I raise my glider up to 1000 feet with my Walkera Devo 7 transmiter. I remember to you that I am using Frsky exclusively for Telemetry.( volts , altitude , thermo scout.)
Yes , the end of antena is inside the tube...in one glider. In the other no.
