I want to connect my TH9X with my iphone via the audio jack (iPhone) and trainer port (TH9X) but i don't know if the Tx send a "high" voltage to my iPhone and destroy it....any ideas ?
I downloaded the Absolute RC Plane Sim from the appstore...it's a free RC plane/helicopter simulator...and i want to fly the planes via the THX9...if it's possible to do it

Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
The sim doesn't seem to support external control...
Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
oh ok ! I found the iPhly application and it's for free too ! and i saw that supports trainer mode too, you can connect it on any Tx....but i can't test it right now cause my Tx is still incomplete...
Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
IPhly is the opposite, it's used to fly your model with the iphone. So it creates a PPM signal on the audio output, that you feed to an RF module or master radio.

Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
so it's safe to connect it with TH9X Tx directly ?
Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
If the 9X is master, yes. Not sure it will manage to pick up the signal though, audio signals are quite low. AFAIK they normally use a buffer, the info should be on the iPhly website.
Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
I tried getting the iPhly to work as a slave to a 9x master but couldn't get it to work. I assumed like you said Kilrah that it had something to do with the levels being wrong for the 9x
Re: iPhone Turnigy 9x
Did anyone tested this app on iOS 6 ?
