P1 and AUX2 acting funny

Post by spudandretti »

When I operate those pots and get down to the lower section of the pots, they start to display different screens on the lcd if I am in any of the setup screens, don't seem normal to me. Any ideas? I can see them work on the graph but P1 seems to have less travel from 0 to 100 (less turning of the knob then P2 has). AUX 2 does the same as P1. Bud

I think the travel on the pots are about the same, but if I am in a setup screen say radio setup and I adjust the p1all the way to the lower negative part it will change the screen to trainer, version, diag, ana, calibration and stops there with the screens about 1/4 travel towards the +, then the rest of the travel doesn't do any changing. I can see it seems to operate the graph ok. Aux 2 seems not to do that, my mistake on that, thought it did for awhile. Bud

I have just noticed to if I am in radio setup I adjust p2 higher+ from all the way low- it goes through the radio setup list but doesn't change to other screens.

:)

It's actually really nice to edit screens like that. Notice that you can change values with the front pot.

Spud......... the pots activate for scrolling at different relative positions. so if the pot is at 0 on the label when you START to scroll, it might not have enough range to scroll all the way through all the selections. If you spin it fast from one end of travel to the other, it tends to reset its orientation between limits. Does that make sense??

Thanks leo, thats good to know.!

Personally,
i think it is fantastic that you can use the 2 pots to navigate accross the main menus and then theother to scroll down that screen and all its options once you have selected it ..... I came across it when i first loaded the software and wondered what pot scroll was ..... then the penny hit me in the head and I thought .... WICKED!!!!! who keeps coming up with this stuff

WICKED!!!!! who keeps coming up with this stuff
Thats easy, THE COMMUNITY

No I'm not a communist, or a socialist. I am an individual.!

Seriously though, while just about everyone who contributes a little, usually comes up with some really crazy suggestion and just throws it out there.! THEN erazz and Mikey B and Brent figure out a way to write code to make it work! Its all jiberish to me, but it usually works.

Not long after all of the really cool stuff started to make its way into our radios, it was very obvious that there is an end to the fun. Atmega 64 memory is almost gone, that was the "necessity" that was the mother of ersky9x!
