Rob,

thanks for biting the bullet of setting up what could become a VERY busy forum. and for making sure that it's on the right side of the Atlantic for a change

It will be a huge help having a wider base to post messages in to, if for no other reason than the newbie who has just got a 9X is going to be way out of their depth trying to wade through all the posts over in RCG, I know I was for quite a while, even though I understood the basics of what was going on, the sudden changes of direction that happen through the vagaries of the BBS software can cause quite some confusion at times, someone with no computer radio background will probably be overwhelmed very easily, which would be a pity.

Kepping some sort of order could be "interesting", ( or challenging, or ......substitute whatever word takes your fancy right now, it will probably happen sooner or later, ;)

Back soon, I'm looking forward to the way this should go.

Cheers
Irish Steve

If it was easy, shure, would't we all be doin it?

I think Rob may be chosen "Time Man of the Year".

We at least need to toast him at the annual er9x banquet. ;-)

Nice job!

Lol.

I may have provided the forum - but that is just the mechanic. It is the content that matters :)

OK Newbie here,

Just registered, Friend has 9X but I am getting one, I have FrSky modules in my Futaba FC-16 and FC-18, I have FrSky telemetry receivers hub and sensors although I am using mostly non telemetry receivers at present. I have a spare DHT and have just come across references to "ER9X" on YouTube and found this forum.

I am an electronics engineer with some programming experience but I dont understand some of this jargon and I need a start/entry point.

Aim: I want to mod a 9X with an FrSky TX module and get it to display telemetry. Where do I start?

Thanks in advance

Alan

Near the top right of the screen you will find the word Wiki in small black letters. Click on that, lots of info

Also look at http://code.google.com/p/er9x/

Hi Rob,

First thanks for the forums! Great work.

Quick question about Private messages. When I submit a PM, it sits in my outbox and it doesn't seem to be sent right away. Am I missing something or is that normal.

Thanks again.

It only gets marked as sent when the other person views it. Not sure why... Seems to be a phpbb feature :)

Thanks Rob. I thought that was the case, but I'm so accustomed to Outlook, having something stuck in the out box was a bit unnerving. :O

Hello to all, glad to find this forum. I have two Turnigy 9x radios. One stock that I use with most of my models (I also recently acquired a DX6i). And I have a new 9x that I plan to mod. I already ordered the smartie parts board and have the Hobby King backlight. I plan to put ER9X onto it for starters, have no need for other modules right now as I am happy with Flysky parts and Rx's, and I have a Spektrum now. I can't see where to post battery questions. I have been using a 3S lipo with my 9x that I got from leaderhobby. I can't charge it with my Thunder AC6 charger because I can't find a connector for it and can only connect the balance port, so I use one of my cheap RTF chargers that only connect to the balance port. But now I am finding out that I might be damaging my 9X? How about if I only charge to 12 volts? Anyway, where does this question go?
