It loks as though you might have the same problem I had. There are 2 clads just to the right of where it says "3.3V" that need to be connected together. Your picture shows them not connected. Please check the earlier post by MHOTAR (post101) and compare pictures.

Quite simple really!
Pin 6 of the sound IC, must be connected to the second pin of the front row (3.3V).
No matter which board version !

One of the J476 capacitors - the one on the right side of your picture (close to the hole) is useless on the board, so you can remove/reuse it.

Yes. . I couldnt use a picture of mine, the tracks are too hacked now ..

I just still have the question. Are all the pin connected directly to the ic? Then I am going to solder wires directly and not try recover the tracks anymore.

The one on the right is the one that blew.. Is this becuase of the regulator? I seem to have the new regulated board. Ill do the 3.3V jumper and desolder the link to the cap.

There are some mentions of new updates to the wiki. Is there anything I need to know before continuing?

Of course as usual the outside is sexiest than the guts! but beside this I found this battery deplete kind of fast so I measured the Ma I found around 130 when no taking up to 230Ma with the Fr sky telemetry talking is it normal ?
Also got a question regarding safety switch I got SW8 v<ofs A2 = 10.8 this works perfectly but even to perfectly when I push for a second or two the voltage goes below the limit and after when I reduce Power the voltage go back above the threshold is there a way to avoid this alarm during the short peak?

Nice work on the micro board! What are the overall dimensions? I'm interested because I'm running out of space in the transmitter case and plan to use an empty Turnigy RF module case to house the sound interface.

Just wondering about the sounds list why to jump 1 # for aileron and elevator rate between low and high
0162- Aileron Rate Low
0163-
0164- Aileron Rate High
0165- Elevator Rate Low
0166-
0167- Elevator Rate High
In order to use "both" in CS Ihave to change it but there is probably a clever reason behind this so if someone can give me a clue

Anyway.. AWESOMENESS!!! Mine is finally working. I had a few flights and its AWESOME. Full flights without having to look at the screen once. I love it.
I also reconnected my SD board using an even more compact method.
Thankyou for this!

It started working after I shorted the 3.3V jumper... I dont know why this fixed it though.

Maybe because It's possible to have triple rates in er9x?? :)
And I was not requested (and didn't know how to say it) to do a middle rate?? :D
As far as I remember that is the reason why I left a number in between. But if you want you can renumber the files and make your own list.. those files are not needed to be in a certain position, so, they can be moved around..

João

P.S. - I see that someone posted while I was writing this.
Ok, renumber the AIL RATE HIGH to number 0163 and the ELE RATE HIGH to number 0166 for example.. Like that you can use the BOTH option on the voice switches.. It is that simple..
You can also place all the files one right after the other if you don't want empty file numbers in between..

I hope this makes sense to you..

I didn't put them there! But, in the expo/dual rate options you have LOW, MID and HIGH, so the missing entries ought to be aileron/elevator rate MID.

Great, congratulations..

Maybe when they make the boards somehow forget to solder the jumper? could this be the case??

My 27mm 8 Ohm 0.5w speaker worked well for a while and now became scratchy.

I have some good quality 6 ohm 2w speakers. Can one be used with a 2ohm resistor?

aahhhh,
You probably aren't saving them with the right sample rate (16KHz 8 bit).

In audacity on the left bottom corner you can select the PROJECT RATE in Hz. choose 16000.
Fir saving your audio file, go to:
File (at the top), then EXPORT, then in SAVE AS TYPE choose OTHER UNCOMPRESSED FILES. Next hit OPTIONS on the right side and another box will open.
On HEADER choose WAV(Microsoft) and in ENCODING: chose UNSIGNED 8 BIT PCM. Hit OK and then SAVE

I hope it helps..

EDIT: Sometime ago I made this video. Maybe it is of some help too.
