Just found this post but didnt quit find the answer Im looking for.
I have replaced my trainer switch, which I never use, with a 3-way switch.
Then I went to the hardware menu, and there it wasnt really clear what I should do.
So I would like to just leave the trainer switch unconnected (0). And connect it to a free input on the uC and with in the Hardware select which switch it should be. But there I only find options with LCDx, DACx and ELE? And I dont get it. On the ELE I have more options though...
What should I do?

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO
I've not allowed for replacing the trainer switch with a 3-pos switch, only ordinary 2-pos switches.
Is this the only switch you wish to convert to 3-pos?
If so, one way would be to wire the THR switch to where the TRN switch connected and then wire the new 3-pos switch to the THR switch and an extra input, DAC1 would be the easiest.

Yeah, the TRN wasnt my first choice, but since it broke, and I only had 3-pos switches available, I already replaced it. So the question is where to connect it. So let me try what you suggested.
Many Thanks as always!

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO
This thread is for the 9XR-PRO, with erskyTx firmware.
You say you have a 9XR with er9x. Please confirm this is correct.
Also which version of er9x did you flash? I believe the 9XR has a '128 processor, so you should flash er9x-128.

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO
im sorry should i open a new discusion? the version im using ersky9x-r228, im also having trouble binding with receptors and now im seriuslly suspecting its the firmware fault once i did not had this problem before and puting the module and recever in other 9xr works fine, do you know anything that could help-me?
i have tested a v8jt module with a v8fr recever
and a djt with a radio mater r88 and bouth worked fine with the radio of my friend
i also tested the output on the back of the controler with a osciloscope and it was working fine

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO
For the Hardware menu, "Help" is accessed on the popup on the main screen. It does say power on holding the left horizontal trim to the left to enable the Hardware menu.
Changing 2-pos switches to 3-pos switches, probably the easiest way is to wire the extra switch connection to the LCD connector pads LCD-2 or LCD-6, but with a 3K9 resistor in series between the switch and the LCD connector.
See this thread for connector details: viewtopic.php?t=5659. THe LCD connector is labelled "Expansion Bus", with the connections labelled D2 and D6.
Check power is reaching the module. I just checked a DJT binding to a D8R-II and all works OK.

Re: HELP, Adding 3pos switches to 9XR PRO
thank you so much! i will do the hardware mod this weekend, in relation to the receaver problem i tried again with teh djt+r88 and it worked fine today no idea what was the problem! in relation to the v8jt+v8fr i got no luck making that work, i did not wanted to rebind the djt with the v8fr by the fear of it not working anymore with the r88.
one last thing to clarify, my receaver is the v8fr, not the v8fr-hv, i know its really old at that point and kinda rare even to the point i have trouble finding material on it on the internet XD. even the module is almost impossible to find information on!
