Turnigy 9X Upgrading to the ATmega128 CPU Chip

Post by TheCirodi »

Hello All!
Finally I was able to find complete board powered by the ATmega128.
I would take advantage from it, since I have currently the 64 version, where I have installed the Smartieparts programmer v 2.4.
I have some questions related to the following different scenarios.

1) NO TELEMETRY, WITH JP4IN1 Multi Protocol Transmitter Module AND er9xProv822z1
a.) can I simply upgrade to er9x-128.hex?
b.) what advantages?

2) NO TELEMETRY, WITH JP4IN1 Multi Protocol Transmitter Module AND er9xProv822z1 PLUS VOICE MODULE
a.) unfortunately the link http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/9xVoice_Mod any hint about to redirect me?

3) TELEMETRY, WITH WITH JP4IN1 Multi Protocol Transmitter Module AND er9xProv822z1
a.) what is the simplest HW modification suggested to be used?
b) any incompatibility issue to match the usage of the JP4IN1 Multi Protocol Transmitter Module with telemetry module?

As usual, thank you very much for your suggestions, comments and help!

1a. Yes.
1b. Many improvements and additions (including voice alerts).
2a. If starting from scratch, probably try: viewtopic.php?t=6831.
3a. Many telemetry mods here: https://github.com/MikeBland/mbtx.
3b. MPM works fine, both control and telemetry.

Posted on behalf of TheCirodi:
Is it possible to set a conditional limit on a mix?
Let's say that I have rudder on channel 4 and that I would limit it as servo excursion to a certain amount (eg. 30%) if a switch is not triggered (eg.Idle up switch is in position 0) and 100% if is triggered (idle up switch is in position 1).

What is the leanest way to achieve it?

Probably two mixes on the channel:
CH4 +100% Rud
CH4 R +30% Rud switch(ELE)
Note that the second mix is a "Replace" mix
