Hi guys,
Well, I finally flashed and updated my Turnigy 9x and couldn't be happier.
I have also finally worked out how to get the Tamiya MFU-03 to work with the controller in its entirety.
Now the important bit, I want to be able to control the lights like headlights with a switch.
To be specific, I want the Gear switch to activate the (mode 2) Elevator to 35% as that is what turns on the lights. I do not want the Elevator (Channel 2) to stop working when I activate the said switch. I can't for the life of me work out how to do this (except for failsafe switch but that disabled the elevator when activated).
I've searched high and low for "use switches to control other channels" "use switches to control elevator" "custom switch setup for Tamiya MFU on er9x" etc etc etc - Nothing, nada.
Can someone PLEASE help? I'm certain it's easy for a pro, but I'm really struggling.
Custom Splash I LOVE IT.

If you add a mixer line to channel 2 like:
CH2: +35% HALF switch(GEA)
then when you activate the gear switch, CH2 will have 35% added to it. If the stick is in the centre, then CH2 will go to 35%.
Is that what you need?

Brilliant Mike, this looks like the answer I was after. Will try later today and see how it goes! Thank you so much for the response.
I'm curious, what does setting the source to HALF do Vs FULL?

With FULL the output is -weight with the switch off and +weight with the switch on. With HALF the output is 0% with the switch off and +weight with the switch on.

Hi Mike, I'm pleased to report that it works perfectly!
I am now going to experiment with using all the other switches to do what the Tamiya MFU-03 normally control. There is a fella in Japan (Yamato) who does it very well using 3-position switches etc.instead of the normal stick functions which are a bit strange in my opinion!
If I run into any more problems I'll reach out, thanks again.
