eepskye 422 Linux version

Post by mentero »

The Linux version of eepskye 422 does not seem to install from the link in er9x.com in a Debian based Linux Mint

Instead, 421 is re-installed. (417-1 announced on the Details tab of the installer screen (?)) When run, it informs about the existence of the new release 422.

Am I missing something, or, do I have to git download and compile ?

On the other hand, ersky9x v221 compiles (for 9XR-Pro) without a warning. Great job.

What revision and date do you see on the Help|About display?
I expect to see "Revision 422, Feb 18 2018".

I build the Linux version in a virtual box under Windows. It is always possible I've made a mistake with the build.

Ahh, looks like I've got the revision number wrong when I did the build, I'll check.

I've re-built the Linux vversion and put it on www.er9x.com, so you should now get the correct revision reported if you download it now.

Thank you Mike,

eepskye 422 now installs and works flawlessly.

Just a cosmetic minor detail, the Debian installer continues to present eepskye as 417-1. Doesn't bother at all.

The downloaded GitHub zip with the latest eepskye source seems to be lacking Makefiles for eepe and eepskye.

I have been distracted for the past three years.
Could I please be updated on the general status of the 9XR Pro and asociated software/firmware.
Cheers and thanks,

I still fully support the 9XR-PRO with erskyTx (it shipped with a version of erskyTx). openTx is still available for the 9XR-PRO, although I have heard some user have problems. I don't think anyone developing for openTx uses a 9XR-PRO, but I may be wrong.

What is the current version?
I am still using r221 rev B from 2018. Any significant upgrades since then?
I use mainly FRSky receivers but they seem to be disappearing. Do you know anything about that?
Cheers and thanks,
Stephen
