9x Exit button size.

Hi friends. A friend of mine has the exit button damaged. It needs to be replaced. Could you tell me the size? I guess it is a SMD switch, 4.5mm? How long?

Just to point the button was damaged in shipping. It does not make the characteristic "click" when pressed anymore, and he has to press it very hard to make it work, so it looks like it needs to be replaced.

Unfortunately I dont have more 9x radios so far except my extreme so I cannot measure or check any special button propperties.

9x radio normally uses 6x6x9.5 mm tactile switches

yeap they are the ones, I also used my last one recently!!- I have an old board somewhere there might be one or two on it, i'll try to locate it over the weekend!

That problem can happen when the plastic "button" is not aligned correctly with the actual switch. Sometimes simply opening the case and making sure the plastic buttons are in the correct place will solve the problem. On a number of occasions I've had re-open a 9X because the plastic buttons didn't quite align correctly.

Thanks for the help, guys, very appreciated.

In this case the SMD button is broken. He opened the radio and checked inside and it does not do any click... So it needs replacing.

It is not an SMD switch

It is through hole.
