First of all radio does work for flying models after power button is depressed
However, it was working allowing me to enter bootloader mode, but now when power and trims are pressed, its stays as a blank screen
I have latest firmware
Usb cable is not attached to radio or pc during the power up procedure
Pinching the trims and holding power button(new version) just produces a bank screen. No text appears
What to do?

Try not holding the power button.
Just hold trims in and a short press and release the power button.

Re: X7 won’t enter boot loader mode - Blank screen
Many thanks, I get what your saying, it's a technique thing
Im occasionally getting this screen now (see pic). It order to exit I need to remove batteries each time. Something is not right.
Most times, i get blank screen with different power press durations

Re: X7 won’t enter boot loader mode - Blank screen & new solution
Solved it !
I updated the bootloader.
I renamed radio firmware .bin file (less than 8 characters), saved it to sd card 'firmware folder' using a computer, put card back into x7 then found the file in the radio and flashed the bootlader
All good.
I can now enter bootloader mode with trims and power button again.

Basically 3 or 4 things to do when updating radio
1.update radio firmware
2.update sd card contents
3.update boot loader
4.update sound file (amber sounds - optional)
Hope this helps others
