Longtime lurker, firsttime caller. Be gentle...
I recently upgraded to Companion2.2 and did firmware and bootloader updates on both of my taranis X9D+ radios. All of my models came over and work well.
THE PROBLEM: I am having no lucking connecting to my favorite simulators on my MacBook Pro. Both of my radios are mode2 and the computer is only picking up left stick and switch inputs. Nothing that I've tried results in right stick inputs.
I HAVE TRIED:
1. I've tried multiple USB cables
2. I've tried multiple sims (aerofly, FPVFreeRider, Liftoff, DRLLauncher) and see the same behavior
3. I've built several models in OpenTx and tried to get things working with same result.
4. Seeing the same problem with FW versions 2.2 and 2.1.9
5. Macbook is running OSX 10.11.3, El Capitan
Is anyone having the same problem? Any suggestions on what else I could try?
Thanks in advance!!!

What firmware options did you select?

Re: Simulator Blues
I de-selected the "mass storage" option. So, radio is showing up properly as a joystick device. Computer just doesn't see any left stick inputs.
I checked on a Windows PC and the left stick movements are detected but are very faint.

Re: Simulator Blues
Check the channel monitor on the radio shows correct movement.

Thanks Kilrah!
Yes, channel monitor shows correct movement. Left stick, switch, pots - all of those inputs work properly in a number of apps on my Mac.
For some reason, no right stick movements are detected. So...very challenging to interact with any simulator.

Re: Simulator Blues
SOLVED: Whilst troubleshooting I did 2 things:
OpenTX 2.2 build 371 (included boot loader and main FW)
upgraded to 10.12.5 (Sierra)
deployed USBOverdrive (some internet sleuthing advised this was a good utility)
I was getting correct left stick functions but no right stick movement detected.
Well - I found a troubleshooting thread that advised against USBOverdrive. And sure enough, once I removed USBOverdrive, things started working again perfectly. Validated with LiftOff, FPV FreeRider, and AeroFly
