Ahh, ok.. If you don't say we don't know ;) :)
I did load it onto another slot :)
But the notes are actually part of the eeprom, not the model?? :o

Thanks

The notes are only stored in the .eepe or .eepm files, which are in XML format. They are not stored in the EEPROM.

Thanks.. What I don't understand is with the eepm files they only load if the model is loaded to the same model slot..
If loaded to another one, and you confirmed, the notes are not shown..

MikeB wrote: Then if you load the model back into the FIRST slot they are present.
The problem is loading it into another slot, the notes are then not for the model in that slot. Mike.
This then answers my question and as João ask the question better then I did.

Thank you João
The size of the Single Model Notes.eepm file is small, about 4KB.
Single Model Notes.eepm file.
Single Model Notes.eepm file.
So we are saving the Single Model Notes.eepm and when we wish to view them, we then need to Load the proper Single Model Notes.eepm file back to its proper Single Model eeprom.
Otherwise we would have the wrong notes applied to the wrong Single Model eeprom.

I was confused when loading Single Model Notes (Load Mode/Settings, Ctrl+L) back to its Single Model eeprom in eeSky9x with the wording Overwrite, which caused fear because I was not sure what it would do.
It's OK as it gets my attention before I choose one of the options.
Mixes CH8 P1 Notes
Mixes CH8 P1 Notes
Also we can view the Single Model Notes.eepm file with Windows Notepad at the end of it's document page.
NotePad: Mixes CH8 P1 Notes.
NotePad: Mixes CH8 P1 Notes.
Thank you Mike, as I can use notes in Mixes now.

Update: I tried a different Single Model eeprom and loaded a wrong Single Model Notes.eepm file to it.
What happen is this other Single Model eeprom was replaced with the Single Model eeprom which belong with the Single Model Notes.eepm file.
Also without the Notes.
So to undo this error (to restore the whole Models eeprom file), you must select Discard when closing the Models eeprom file.
So need to be careful to match the proper the Single Model Notes.eepm file to its proper Single Model eeprom.

OK, I've just posted a test version of eepskye and ersky9x.
Eepskye:
Fixes POT4 in the sim
Fixes pot4(SL) centre beep editing
Fixes pot4 on the custom check editing
Adds THR reverse in model setup editing
Adds THR source in sticky safety switch editing
Fixes loading mix notes from .eepm file
(at least I hope it does!)
Ersky9x:
Should handle Pot4 centre beep and add pot4 to the custom check. I haven't got a radio with a pot4 on it to see if the custom check actually works!

I also will test out the new eepSkye test version with my Taranis.

Model notes are saved with eepm.
Pot 4 now works on the sim.
Safety switches, sticky Thr cut. Selected P4 and also P1. Still follows the thr stick and none of the Pots.

Logical switch
v>val P4 -96

The logical switch only turns ON when P4 is around -7.5% (eepskye only)
If I replace it with P1 it works as it should.

Hi Mike,
I do not see the (Save Mode/Settings, Ctrl+S) and (Load Mode/Settings, Ctrl+L) in this newest eepSkye test version July 31, 2016.

Bob B.

Edit: I went back to check it again and they are there now. OK now ! :D
I think what may have happened is my PC was running very slow so when I went back to check,
may have loaded everything so then they were there.

Hi Mike,
The right click menu dose not have the (Save Mode/Settings, Ctrl+S) and (Load Mode/Settings, Ctrl+L) unless you make a CH Mix-Note first.
This seem to be why I do not see them when I first open the right click menu.
I believe it was there always before, but not sure.

Edit: Its making me craze, seems to be working properly every time now.
I need a brake ! and restart PC and check it then.

and when I click on (Load Mode/Settings, Ctrl+L), the select to OPEN a saved Single Model Notes.eepm file, there are none to select from listed.
But when I check through Windows Document files they are there.
No Saved Single Model Notes.eepm file listed.<br />But they are there just can not see them.

They are there when I right click on a Single Model (but do not work) and not there when I click on a mix, like CH08.
Most of the times (Save Mode/Settings, Ctrl+S) and (Load Mode/Settings, Ctrl+L) are not there and a few times they were.
The time they were and I had tried loading the Notes eepm file, it failed to do so when the process was completed.

The file extension should maybe eepm but it looks like it is defaulting to eepg.

Bob, the .eepm is not a "notes" file. It is a model file, and it saves all the mode settings.

Hi João,
I do have difficulty understanding types of file and what is proper to describing them.
When you say "mode settings" is this the same as Radio Settings ?

Here in this photo shows Notes files with one that was saved as .eepg file type (BobTaranis Test.eepg)
which when viewing it with Notepad there is no notes saved in this 1KB file.
Have not been able to save any new Notes even when a new notes file was created.
List of Notes files
List of Notes files
The Notes file (510 NASA-L_note P1.eepm) 4KB file size, when viewed with Notepad dose show the mix Notes,
but not able to load them (this Notes file was created before installing the new eepSkye test July 3, 2016).

By default, saving a complete EEPROM saves it as a .bin file, and no mix notes are included.
As an option, you may change the type of file to be a .eepe file. This saves the entire EEPROM in XML format and so includes mix notes for every model.
If you right click on the "General Settings" line, and choose "Save Model/settings" you are prompted for a save file of type .eepg (g for general), and the radio settings are then saved in the .eepg file in XML format. No mix notes are included since the general settings don't have any mixes in them.
If you right click on a model line, and choose "Save Model/settings" you are prompted for a save file of type .eepm (m for model), and the chosen model is then saved in the .eepm file in XML format, including any mix notes.

Bob is not Save mode settings. It is Save MODEL settings. That was a typo and I apologise.

Mike, yesterday when I first replaced the old eepskye.exe with the test version you posted, save model settings was working. But then I have noticed (I think after restarting eepskye, not sure) that it didn't save them again. I have strated then to save my eeprom as .eepe. I then tried to save the model again as eepm, but it didnt seem to have saved the notes.. I can try again later, and see if I did something wrong..

Thank you

Hallo Guys,
im totally new here.. like in RC Aircraft as well. Somehow a week ago bought my first quadcopter w cc3d. Ive chosen the Turnigy 9xr w DJT and v8fr-ii.
I have a Problem w eepskye as follows:
- i cannot connect via Diamex All AVR and libusb driver / installed as unsigned etc blabla/
(im using win 10 for sure)

What surpised me w eepe i can write my Tx and actually done w the Standard 128 Rom and its working.
Is there any preference to install somehow via eepsky another Rom?
I ordered a D8R XP reciever cuz of the tons of functions but idk im on the right way to telemetry and ppm w the Tx software or not.

Many thanks for your time,

If you have the 9XR (not 9XR-PRO), then you need to use eepe only, eepskye is for the 9XR-PRO and other ARM processor based transmitters.

My guess would be that it's really a 9XR Pro. The 9XR was discontinued quite some time ago and this sounds like a relatively new purchase. I've noticed people using 9XR to mean the Pro, presumably because they don't even know there was once an earlier version.

If it was the PRO he would not have been able to flash er9x_128 using eepe like he says.. That is why Mike (and myself) think the radio is a normal 9XR, and not a PRO.
