The answer is, as stated above, it will be a squeeze.
A more feasible way is to modify the module so the antenna is mounted on it. Google a bit and you'll find references to the mod.

I couldn't find anywhere inside the 9XR case to put the RF board from a FRSKY DIY module, so I ended up putting it in the module bay and using a FRSKY Rx antenna extension running up into the handle in place of the standard 9XR aerial. It was hard enough finding space inside for my BT module let alone a RF board.
