9x M64 PCB and some spare parts = Working Radio

Post by LTMNO »

Hello All, not that this is any milestone or triumph compared to some of the brain power in this forum... just wanted to share a build that I just completed with some spare parts seeing that I didn't have a 9x Radio anymore and was my introduction into this forum many years ago.

Thanks to some documentation on the PCB Schematics, a Laser Cutter/Engraver, 3D Printer, some ingenuity... I have a working 9x Alternate Radio.

7x Switches (1x 3POS, 6x 2POS)
1x Push Button (monetary)
1x Pot
2x Stock Gimbals
1x Stock LCD
1x Stock LED Backlight (repaid the LED's)

I was able to remove the back-plain PCB, the Power PCB, no trims (not necessary for Quads) but can add them later if needed)
This all fits in a 40mm deep by 150mm x 180mm enclosure.

The last thing that is printing now is the outer case... its a long print. Then just enclose the battery with charging port and internal XJT or URLS or other... The break out is already there on a 4-6 pin header with Telemetry.

Hey Joao, yes... absolutely... its a funny thing as I was just researching that, no foolin... ;-)
Considering I only use FrSky for the most part but as long as I can get Telemetry and connect to my X and D Series Rx's and my VD5M.

Frsky (Based on CC2500 Chip) should do the trick with an Adruino Pro Mini.

Then I can just hardwire it on the inside and expose the button, led, dial to make changes.

Or you can buy a module from banggood for example.. Go for the STM32 module.. All protocols fit in this one unlike the in the Atmega 328 based module..
