Instant Trim
I need some help please! v2.0.8
I am unable to get the Instant Trim function to work.
I have setup switch FC- in Special Functions to action Instant Trim and checked Enabled.
For example. If I set my trims randomly, then go to the Channel Monitor. and move switch to FC- position, I hear a beep and I see no movement. I go to the Home Screen and the trim indicators are still in their original offset positions. I was expecting to see the indicators all set at zero trim or am I doing this all wrong?
Thanks
Don

Re: Instant Trim
You're just understanding it wrong. Instant trim ADDS whatever stick deflection you have to the trim. If sticks are centered when you trigger it nothing will move as no correction is needed.

Re: Instant Trim
OK got that bit sorted - thanks Kilrah.
I can now get the controls to accept the new trim settings, but I am confused regarding the trim display on the main display. I was expecting to see the trims in their neutral positions, I have tried moving the trims to the neutral positions but that only displaces the controls again.
When using a JR system you can reset the trim indicators to the neutral positions without effecting the new trimmed control positions.

Re: Instant Trim
That would be a separate function, trims to offsets on the outputs page.

Re: Instant Trim
Sorry I don't have an Outputs page. Do you mean the Edit Mix page? Can you explain further what I supposed to do as I am finding this somewhat daunting with one liners.

Re: Instant Trim
Servos page then, last line. When you press enter the trims are copied into the subtrims, and zeroed.

Re: Instant Trim
Thanks again Kilrah I found it. Easy when you know how, but for us newbies that line is well hidden. It is after Line 32 and displays TRIMS=>SUBTRIMS in the Servos page.

Re: Instant Trim
Hi,
You can also access this functionality by pressing [ENTER LONG] on the servo line of interest:
Bye.

Re: Instant Trim
Note the difference, the menu does it just for the selected channel, while the last line does all in one go. If one stick controls more than one servo, you do NOT want to use the menu method.

Re: Instant Trim
Hi,
I tried this function, but because I always have my trims crossed to the opposite stick, I can't use it. The instant trim doesn't take this into account, and trims the wrong channels
