More 9xd 2019 questions

So I have upgraded my old Taranis 9xd plus to the new firmware 2.3.14, matching my new 9xd plus se 2019. Everything works fine on the old Taranis but I cant bind the X8R receivers to the new radio...I'm guessing I need to upgrade the firmware in the receivers to 2.1.6EU ? question is how do I find out what version of firmware is in the old transmitters internal RF module? and can I upgrade that also? so both transmitters work.

You can update everything to ACCST2 but it's not possible to see what version's currently on things.
