Many thanks for your help.
Thanks again.

Hi. I read the whole thread and I like the idea of sharing the data from taranis qx7. But, I need something different. I need a place where I can get telemetry data, convert it with arduino and display it on an oled.

So an equivalent to the FSD?
https://alofthobbies.com/frsky-dashboar ... splay.html

Can be connected to module slot pins.

Yes, like FSD. But custom data to be displayed.

I found the pinout of the module bay on back side of taranis, but how to make telemetry to go through the signal pin?

The smart port (bottom) pin already carries all telemetry.

Do you mean a bottom pin of module bay or pin on bottom of the radio? Thanks for info.

Both actually. The bottom connector has the sport line as well.

I'm adding a couple of commands to scripts on ersky9x to allow sending and receiving data over bluetooth. In theory, it should then be possible to pick up telemetry values, format them as serial data and send them out over bluetooth in whatever structure you like.

Yes, that module may be fitted. Currently I don't have support for it in ersky9x, and as it is a 4.0 Low Energy device, I understand it doesn't actually perform that well as the data throughput is limited.

Hi

I just registered here....
And I hope my question is right in this thread :?

Well, I got a Qx7 S and thought about what can be done with the built in Bluetooth module. Everywhere I looked people were talking about the wireless trainer or adding BT modules to X9 oder X7 radios and I could not really find what I was looking for.

What I want is a little Groundstation via Smart Port from the QX7s via BT:
Must have:
- Real Time GPS Position on Map
- Real Time Telemetry

Nice to have:
- Access to Betaflight / iNav Settings (like the lua that is running on my QX7s)

Can this be done, are there solutions available ??
Also I use R9 Module

Thank you so much in advance for sharing some thoughts and knowledge or just pointing me in the right forum or website with info

Happy Flying

Possible yes, but there is nothing that already exists for that.

In Ersky9x is possible to send Frsky telemetry over Bluetooth. Not sure if it works only with the old D protocol, or if it also sends S.Port.. I never tried this one, only the D protocol..
Not sure this is what the OP wants though.. :) If not, I do apologize.

Getting the data is no issue, but then the whole display/app for today's data there is none that exists.

Ersky9x supports trainer over bluetooth if you use a HC-05 type module. The "official" module from FrSky is a BT4.0, low energy type and has limited throughput. I understand trainer operation using that module wasn't very reliable. It may have been improved, but my testing with another low energy module did not give a good enough performance, so I haven't added support for BT4.0 modules in ersky9x.

Hello. Can I install the QX7S OpenTX transmitter firmware on the QX7 transmitter to use the HC-05 module?

The firmware is the same for both, the BT module is autodetected and enabled if present. It is a BT LE module, an HC-05 won't work.

ErskyTX (former Ersky9x) supports the HC-05, also on the QX7 I think. all my radios have an HC-05 inside :) Please read from post 1 of this thread ;) It is not so long :)

Thank you for your patience :) I understand you. Read the forum. I could not find a link to download the QX7 firmware version. If it's not difficult for you, please give a direct link. Will I be able to transfer model profiles from the OpenTX firmware to your Ersky firmware or will I have to re-configure them? I have a lot of customized models. Thank you in advance:)

You can download.ErskyTx for the QX7 at www.er9x.com

No, openTX models are not compatible.

Hello everyone. Doing some research I found out that there are Bluetooth modules hm-12/hm-13 which are "dual mode" so they support both Bluetooth classic and BLE. Also they _seem_ to be pin-compatible to hc-05. Is there any reason to have both in a radio? Is it possible to wire hm-12 to erskyTx radio and use it as hc-05? Is FrSky BLE module used for something useful now in otx?

Any links to where to buy these?
The HM-12/13 may use different AT commands. It should be possible to use them, but may need firmware changes. I have a HM-10 (and a clone CC-41). The main problem with BLE is the lack of serial support, so communicating from the PC is not so easy.
I quite like the idea of dual mode support.
The FrSky BLE module is used for wireless trainer, but most reports I've seen suggest it doesn't work very well.

HM-12: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bGH9fQJ0 (probably pin-compatible)
HM-13: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/briNkzDo (not pin-compatible)
Pretty sure these are China clones. And they're not as cheap as hc-05.
Edit: also some documentation.

Sorry to be a little off topic but the pins that i've seen you guys solder the bluetooth modules to are those just regular UART pins that you could theoretically connect to and read data from. Like the serial port on the x9d
