START UP VOICE MUTE

Post by andyl » Wed Jan 08, 2014 6:41 pm

Evening,

Is it possible to disable or replace the start up audio of ' welcome to taranis' to something less likely to draw amusement from fellow club mates.

Sure it is but cannot find section on radio to alter, anyone done this already?

The voice file is in SOUNDS\en\SYSTEM\tada.wav.
You can delete it, replace it, whatever you want.

I have now removed the TADA wav file and this has stopped the start up tone.

If i want to put another greeting in its place where do i need to edit the replacement wav file , i can,t find anywhere on custom functions etc to assign a tone to the power on switch?

What am i missing here?

You would name that file tada.wav and put it in place of the other.

drkwad,

The file needs to be in WAV format PLUS a few other things, like mono (as opposed to stereo) and at a rate of 16000Hz. Check out Project Blue Falcon's (may he rest in peace) video about Taranis sound files
